Morgan couldn’t get that leaden, faraway narrator that dusted everything with dread to stop. Not when they took off their shoes, or talked to Dad about construction on the parkway, or reheated turkey chili and ate it in a chipped bowl in front of the TV. Not when they brushed their teeth or changed their socks. Morgan lay down. In bed, they thumbed down the feed of every social media platform but nothing worked to soothe their nerves. Finally they logged onto the BraidsASMR Twitter. There was an inbox full of direct messages. Most recently:

Hi Braids. I never send DMs like this, but I just wanted to tell you how much your videos help me. I’m a pretty anxious guy and I could finally relax when I listened to your spa day video the other day. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you, the Internet is pretty much a hellhole and I’m trying to do my part to go against the grain. Yours, Peter.
